Ingredients
- 1 package Crunchmaster® Multigrain Crackers
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 large onions, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh chives, divided
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 cups veggies, sliced (such as carrots, celery, cucumber, red peppers)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt, divided
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper, divided
- 2 teaspoons ground turmeric
- 1 tablespoon dijon mustard
Instructions
- Melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add the onions, 1/4 teaspoon salt, and 1/4 teaspoon pepper. Cook for 10 to 12 minutes, or until slightly softened. Reduce the heat to medium-low and cook for 15 minutes.
- Stir in the turmeric and cook for 5 to 10 minutes, or until the onions are dark golden brown and fragrant. Let cool completely. Reserve 1 tablespoon of the onions and set aside.
- In a serving bowl, stir together the sour cream, caramelized onions, mustard, half of the chives, garlic, and the remaining salt and pepper. Top with the reserved onions and the remaining chives.
- Serve with crackers and sliced veggies.
