us

First and foremost, I am a blogger who is passionate about food. I spend most of my time in my kitchen cooking, making new recipes, and – most importantly – eating! I also have celiac, so the recipes you’re going to find here are all 100% gluten free. I was diagnosed when I was 14 years old, almost 16 years ago, and haven’t eaten a donut since. Except for gluten free ones. You know how it is…

Speaking of eating, did you know that you don’t have to give that up when you go gluten free? It’s true, I promise!

If it’s something you’re new to, I’m hoping I can help you along just a bit. Having celiac actually inspired me to do a lot of things in my life. I worked hard and got a degree in Nutrition-Dietetics. I wasn’t really into being a dietitian, so now I work as a food scientist. And I’m loving every minute of it! I don’t get too science-y in my posts, but if you have a burning desire to know about starch molecules, I’m your girl! But you know what food scientists are really good at? Developing recipes. Yep, it’s true.

It also inspired me to write this blog! I remember how difficult it was when I first had to go gluten free, but I also know from experience that there is life after gluten. I promise. So, if you ever have a serious craving for something and need a recipe, please reach out to me. I might have one, and if I don’t, I’d love to work on it with you!

I recently made a BIG move from New York City to Tampa, Florida with my fiancé Andrew, our two cats, and a pocket full of dreams. Andrew is a photographer, and helps out a lot with the photos on this blog, and we’re learning food photography together. While I love everything there is about New York City, I’ve pretty much eaten my way through it, and it was time for a change in scenery. Now we have new horizons to explore, and I hope you’ll come along for the ride.

So, there you have it. Dishing Delish is basically my brain, exposed all over the pages of this blog, for everyone to see. Most importantly, when it comes to life in general, I have absolutely no idea what I’d doing. So, I guess we’re going along for the ride – learning and growing – together.
