Ingredients
- Cake
- 1 Bag Pamela's Products Chocolate Cake Mix
- 2 Large Eggs
- 1 Cup sour cream or dairy-free alternative
- 1/2 Cup Oil
- 1 Cup Water
- Frosting
- 3 Cups powdered sugar
- 3/4 Cup Cocoa Powder unsweetened
- 1 Stick Butter softened, or dairy-free alternative
- 3-4 Tablespoons heavy cream or dairy-free alternative
- 1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
Instructions
Cake:
- Preheat oven to 350°.
- While the oven is heating up mix liquid ingredients well, then add mix and stir to incorporate.
- Pour batter into lightly greased 9"x13" baking pan.
- Bake for 24-30 minutes.
- Remove cake when toothpick comes out almost clean.
Frosting:
- Sift sugar and cocoa together into a large bowl (This can be done ahead of time).
- In a mixer combine 1 cup of sugar mixture with butter and 1 tablespoon cream, beating until smooth.
- Add another cup of sugar and another tablespoon of cream, beating well. Continue until all ingredients are combined and frosting is fluffy (2-3 minutes).
- Beat in vanilla until the frosting is well combined.
