  • Author: Meghan Donnelly
  • Prep Time: 15 minutes
  • Cook Time: 25-35 minutes
  • Total Time: 0 hours
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup Schär Bread Crumbs
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 egg
  • ½ teaspoon Italian herb mix
  • ⅓ cup grated parmesan cheese
  • ¼ teaspoon crushed red chili flakes
  • 1 jar marinara sauce or thick pasta sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 450 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Lightly grease a 9×13 inch ovenproof baking dish.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, egg, gluten-free bread crumbs, Italian herb mix, grated parmesan cheese, and crushed red chili flakes. Using clean hands, mix until well combined.
  4. Roll the mixture into evenly sized meatballs (you should get about 15 to 17, depending on size). Place them in the prepared baking dish, making sure they are spaced apart and not touching.
  5. Pour the marinara sauce evenly over the meatballs, ensuring they are fully coated.
  6. Cover the dish tightly with aluminum foil and bake for 20 minutes.
  7. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5 to 10 minutes, until the meatballs are browned and cooked through.
  8. Garnish with extra grated parmesan cheese, if desired. Serve warm.
