Honey Mustard Cheese Bites

Prep time

Cook time

  • 1 1/3 Cups Snyder's of Hanover Gluten-Free Honey Mustard & Onion Pretzel Sticks crushed
  • 1/2 Cup Parmesan cheese grated
  • 1/3 Cup Cornstarch more as needed
  • 3 Large Eggs
  • 1 Tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 12 Sticks String Cheese mozzarella
  • Honey Mustard for dipping, optional

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  2. Mix together crushed pretzels and Parmesan.
  3. Measure the cornstarch into another bowl.
  4. In a third bowl, combine eggs and mustard and whisk until blended well.
  5. Cut the sticks of cheese into four equal pieces.
  6. Roll the cheese sticks in cornstarch to coat.
  7. Dip each in egg mixture, then roll in pretzel crumbs. Press the crumbs into the cheese bites to adhere.
  8. Set on a wax-paper-lined plate and freeze for about two hours or up to five days. Wrap in plastic wrap if freezing more than a couple of hours to avoid freezer burn.
  9. Set frozen cheese bites on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil (non-stick foil works best).
  10. Bake 7-8 minutes.
  11. Note: the bites melt very quickly, so check them frequently. Cool briefly and serve. These can be served with honey mustard for dipping or as is.
