Ingredients
- 1 1/3 Cups Snyder's of Hanover Gluten-Free Honey Mustard & Onion Pretzel Sticks crushed
- 1/2 Cup Parmesan cheese grated
- 1/3 Cup Cornstarch more as needed
- 3 Large Eggs
- 1 Tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 12 Sticks String Cheese mozzarella
- Honey Mustard for dipping, optional
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F.
- Mix together crushed pretzels and Parmesan.
- Measure the cornstarch into another bowl.
- In a third bowl, combine eggs and mustard and whisk until blended well.
- Cut the sticks of cheese into four equal pieces.
- Roll the cheese sticks in cornstarch to coat.
- Dip each in egg mixture, then roll in pretzel crumbs. Press the crumbs into the cheese bites to adhere.
- Set on a wax-paper-lined plate and freeze for about two hours or up to five days. Wrap in plastic wrap if freezing more than a couple of hours to avoid freezer burn.
- Set frozen cheese bites on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil (non-stick foil works best).
- Bake 7-8 minutes.
- Note: the bites melt very quickly, so check them frequently. Cool briefly and serve. These can be served with honey mustard for dipping or as is.
