PrintSpooky Crispy Rice Monster Treats
- Prep Time: 5 minutes
- Total Time: 1 hour 5 minutes
- Yield: 24 bars
Ingredients
- 4 tablespoon butter
- 1 10 ounce package large marshmallows
- 6 cups gluten-free crispy rice cereal
- 2 10 ounce packages gluten-free white chocolate melts
- purple, orange, and green food coloring
- gluten-free sprinkles (eyes, purple, orange, green)
Instructions
- Press a piece of parchment paper into a 9×13 baking dish. Set aside.
- In large pot, melt the butter over low heat. Add in the large marshmallows and stir until completely melted, about 1 to 2 minutes.
- Remove from heat and pour in the gluten-free crispy rice cereal until fully coated.
- Using a buttered spatula, place the mixture into the prepared baking dish.
- Place a second sheet of parchment paper on top of the treats and press down to create a more firm bar of treats. Set aside to cool for about one hour.
- Pull up on the edges of the parchment paper to pull the full pan of bars out of the pan. Using a buttered knife, slice the large bar into approximately 24 smaller bar treats. Set aside.
- Follow the instructions on the white chocolate melts package to melt the chocolate to a liquid. Divide the mixture into three small bowls. Put a few drops of food coloring into each bowl (one color per bowl) and stir until well combined.
- Dip 1/3 of the treats into each bowl of colored chocolate, then top with desired sprinkles for decoration.
- Store in an airtight container.
