Mother’s Day is the day we all want to do something special for our moms. But when your favorite mom, grandma, or mother-in-law (or even that special aunt) has celiac disease, you want to make sure your special treat or brunch is gluten-free! Many families tend to have brunch at a restaurant, so the moms don’t have to cook or clean up. We wanted to share some dining out tips as well as some great homemade brunch ideas to give you lots of options to celebrate the mother’s and mother figures in your life.
A homemade brunch does not have to involve a lot of preparation or clean up. Here are some ideas that will put a smile on mom’s face while she sits back and enjoy the meal!
Start with a fresh fruit cup. You can get a delicious variety of cut up fruit in your local grocery store—no mess, fresh, and very spring-like.
Order her favorite bagels/muffins or coffee cake from a delicious, dedicated gluten-free bakery near you. Indulging in a sweet treat tastes even better without worry.
