Cook’s Gluten-Free Sourdough was founded in 2013 by San Diego resident Randi Cook, who has lived with the awareness of a gluten intolerance for eight years. Randi missed sourdough bread more than any other food after she began the gluten-free way of life. She began making her own gluten-free version and after a period of experimentation, decided on a recipe that embodied a soft, chewy texture and balanced sourness.
It was so yummy, she became determined to share it with everyone who is intolerant to gluten, has Celiac Disease, or enjoys the goodness of sourdough. Now others can fulfill their craving for sourdough with a gluten-free, vegan bread that not only is acceptable and “works,” but is delicious too.
