Chocolate Walnut Brownies

Ingredients

  • 1 bag Jessica’s Natural Foods Chocolate Cake Mix
  • 1/2 cup Butter (preferably salted), room temperature
  • 1/4 cup Light Brown Sugar
  • 1/3 cup Water
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 3/4 cup chocolate chunks (or chips)
  • 3/4 cup chopped walnuts
  • Chocolate frosting, optional

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Grease a 9×13″ baking pan.
  2. Pour cake mix into a large bowl. Add butter, brown sugar, water, eggs and vanilla and mix until combined (electric mixer recommended).
  3. Mix in chocolate chunks and walnuts.
  4. Spread batter evenly into pan.
  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. Do not overbake.
  6. Once cool, frost if desired.
