Ingredients
- 1/4 Cup Glutino Gluten-Free Pantry All-Purpose Flour
- 2 Cups Glutino Gluten-Free Breadcrumbs unflavored
- 1 Teaspoon Salt
- 1 Teaspoon Parsley dried, flakes
- 3/4 Teaspoon Garlic Powder
- 1/2 Teaspoon Onion Powder
- 1/2 Teaspoon Oregano dried
- 1/4 Teaspoon Basil dried
- 1 Teaspoon black pepper ground
- 3 Large Eggs
- 1 1/2 Tablespoons Milk
- 1 Pound String Cheese mozzarella, each stick cut in half
- Vegetable Oil for frying
- 1 Cup Isola Marinara Pasta Sauce for dipping
Instructions
- Heat one cup of vegetable oil in a pan.
- Whisk eggs and milk together in a pie bowl or pie tin.
- In a second pie bowl/tin, combine bread crumbs with all of the herbs and spices.
- Place flour in a third pie bowl/tin.
- Coat each piece of cheese with flour.
- Dip in egg and roll in bread crumbs.
- Dip in egg and bread crumbs a second time, covering the entire stick of cheese in crumbs.
- Place each cheese stick in the hot oil and cook about a minute on each side, or until golden. Place on paper towels to absorb excess oil.
- In a small pot or the microwave, heat up the marinara sauce.
- Serve the mozzarella sticks hot with the sauce.
- Leftovers can be frozen and reheated in the oven.
