Mozzarella Sticks

  • 1/4 Cup Glutino Gluten-Free Pantry All-Purpose Flour
  • 2 Cups Glutino Gluten-Free Breadcrumbs unflavored
  • 1 Teaspoon Salt
  • 1 Teaspoon Parsley dried, flakes
  • 3/4 Teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Onion Powder
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Oregano dried
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Basil dried
  • 1 Teaspoon black pepper ground
  • 3 Large Eggs
  • 1 1/2 Tablespoons Milk
  • 1 Pound String Cheese mozzarella, each stick cut in half
  • Vegetable Oil for frying
  • 1 Cup Isola Marinara Pasta Sauce for dipping


  1. Heat one cup of vegetable oil in a pan.
  2. Whisk eggs and milk together in a pie bowl or pie tin.
  3. In a second pie bowl/tin, combine bread crumbs with all of the herbs and spices.
  4. Place flour in a third pie bowl/tin.
  5. Coat each piece of cheese with flour.
  6. Dip in egg and roll in bread crumbs.
  7. Dip in egg and bread crumbs a second time, covering the entire stick of cheese in crumbs.
  8. Place each cheese stick in the hot oil and cook about a minute on each side, or until golden. Place on paper towels to absorb excess oil.
  9. In a small pot or the microwave, heat up the marinara sauce.
  10. Serve the mozzarella sticks hot with the sauce.
  11. Leftovers can be frozen and reheated in the oven.
