A Taste To Remember
The Book That Takes You Back in Time
Approximately twenty years ago, my daughter was diagnosed with a gluten allergy at a time when there was limited social awareness and very few gluten-free products on the market. I can remember like yesterday when the doctor delivered the news. My daughter looked at me with tears in her eyes and said, “Does that mean I’ll never eat a brownie again?” That was a defining moment in my life when I decided to make it my life’s mission to use my education and experience in experimental foods to ensure that my daughter and any other child would be able to eat their favorite foods without sacrificing taste or texture, or breaking the bank.
This book is a well-rounded collection of our family’s favorite recipes that are suitable for any occasion or budget. My “Things to Remember” will provide guidance on how to maximize savings, and will take the mystery out of creating for the first-time cook. Gluten is not the defining ingredient that makes food taste good. Food is all about chemistry and structure. All it takes is the right combination of ingredients. If you are willing to invest in five flours which can be bought economically in bulk or online, you can make anything!
It is my hope that you will enjoy my recipes as much as I have loved creating them. From my kitchen to yours— enjoy!
